Kris Hixson is the guy behind “designing” the RALEIGH > CHARLOTTE shirts and bumper stickers. His claim to fame was having the application to sell his horribly-fonted merch rejected at 2008’s Raleigh Wide Open. In addition to referring to himself in the third person, Kris also enjoys holding a perma-grudge against everyone who’s ever done him wrong. His “enemies” list includes David Millsaps, who around the time of the N&O article wrote that he didn’t think what Kris was doing was very cool on NewRaleigh.
Now, K-Hick isn’t the type to take mild criticism lying down. HELL no. Like the delirious media analysis of Game Change, he’s still fixated on events that occurred in ‘08. On his YouTube channel, he accuses Millsaps of having a “personal agenda” and possessing the temerity to “write blogs publicly degrading the character of someone who loves Raleigh.” But that was just a little intro for y’all before Kris proudly whips out his trump card:

Does anyone have a sense of humor here? David and I have met face to face and we’re on friendly terms. This is supposed to be a light hearted, dare i say, humorous, people. And, by the way, I think newraleigh is a great website for raleigh and its great citizens. and buy a t-shirt even though the font is under debate…

kris- there is an american apparel in charlotte. maybe if you decide to give it another go you should go that way. hip fonts sell much better on hip knits.
